Energy

I believe we need a diverse energy supply to help keep energy prices affordable. We also need to increase our capacity to meet rising demand. In the near term we must continue to rely on oil and gas and solar. Solar is currently one of the lowest cost sources with the shortest time to implement from planning to production. In addition, I believe, we should promote and develop geothermal energy production as rapidly as possible. It is the perfect fit for Oklahoma.

Geothermal uses the heat from Earth to power electric generation. This process is very similar to oil and gas production and would overlap in many areas such as utilizing the same labor supply, equipment, technology, and other areas. This would allow Oklahoma to reduce the amount of pollution in the atmosphere while utilizing our oil and gas infrastructure that is already in place creating additional economic benefits. It’s a win-win!
